Wow this thread is old and you guys probably already have every helper you might need. But if you still need someone I'd be up to write dialog and quests, right now I do have a lot of free time but in this Winter that'll change.

Alrighty then, how would we talk? Discord would probably be easier for talking. How would it go, someone just DMs me about a kinda gloomy/shady character and I just write gloomy/shady dialog for that npc?

First you need to come up with an idea for a quest that fits the game. The first step is then usually to write out the quest steps (which are always written in past tense). Then you need to create the NPCs, and give them dialogue that takes you through the quest. The dialogue is almost never linear. It can branch, sometimes with the player choosing which branch to take, sometimes it's chosen for them depending on what they already did. The key is that it's not like just telling a story in a book, where you read from the beginning to the end. You could revisit the NPC many times, and every time they have something different to say.
