Its actually an even trade, you gain 20% AC, but lose 20% BC, and the AD doesn't change.

If you get 2 rings of damage +6, and you've mainly been leveling up your AD & AC then it can be a good weapon. In fact, the higher your AD & AC get, the better the quickstrike dagger becomes.

With the Jewel of Fallhaven, you get 5 attacks, and if you've been to the Prim/BWM towns, you can collect the minor potion of speed (available for purchase if you side with Prim, but some of the monsters drop them too) which gives you another attack if you're using the quickstrike. And that's just in the current version. The next one will allow you to increase your default AP

good post, but IMO it is not even trade. When leveling, you can choose +5% to AC or +3% to BC...

The "even trade" part was just in reference to the stats of the quickstrike dagger (+20% AC / -20% BC). But you're right, it is also important to have a decent amount of BC if you're going to equip that dagger, or you better hope the 5 hits you get are enough for a kill so they can't strike back.

found the dagger , yay! i didnt upgrade my bc, as i thought 3% per skill is useless and the gear should do the trick. the dagger is really good as i kill the gargoyles and their masters without them hitting me back :) So lets hope i get my rols now :(

I'm having trouble choosing between 5+ attacks per turn with the quickstrike, and massive criticals with the DothSP: both are too awesome

Yeah, that is an awesome new weapon!

I generally switch to the quick strike and take a speed potion if there's 2-3 enemies with fairly high HP that I can't fight 1 on 1 (if they're blocking a path and standing next to each other) so that I can still kill them on my first turn.

I also sometimes switch to the Shadow of the slayer if its against weaker monsters and I want to regain some HP.
