Yes, I too was wondering what we'd get when we sold him 20 claws. It drastically increases the amount of gold you can get for the claws, but that's it. I don't know why they're so undervalued when compared to the White Wurm claws, but whatever, gold is not too much of a concern for anyone who is above level 30, unless they're trying to get 5 million gold
I was planning on doing my timed experiment for exp gain like I did between BWM and the RoLS area. If I get around to it, I'll post it up.
