As a returning player I agree with your post here and share your praises along with your constructive criticisms.

I love the potential of this game and the open-source nature of its ongoing development. I think you would be a great asset to the dev team if you had time to make this a hobby of yours. Once I finish all the new content I myself may get involved.

I agree with the OP on both major points:

1. Andor's Trail is a great game with an excellent dev team.

2. Fantasy doesn't have to be like real life, but it does have to follow its own internal logic. A little too much recent stuff feels like fan service, tacked-on challenges to keep advanced players from getting bored between releases, rather than advances in the storyline, elaboration of the fictional world, or important steps in the character's own development (e.g. to avoid grinding and progress organically). Some side puzzles/challenges are fine, but too many can throw the game out of focus.

Please note that we're talking about opportunities to raise an A grade to A+, so to speak. It's already a great game; it has the potential to be an outstanding one. And thanks again to the dev team.
