Gangs of Feyguard stealing bonemeal potions

Hello, all this is my first post. I've been playing this game for about half a year now, and was trying to figure out what triggers this event, because I had a character that never got jacked, but didn't do a lot of exploration. This got me thinking that perhaps it was triggered by some kind of event. So I started testing factions, and various things. I'm not 100 % positive, but I believe this might be tied to a specific seemingly harmless item that I'm sure most people pick up and probably sell, but I believe is cursed like Lutarc's lizard medallion, except once picked up one is forever cursed to see those Felguards in their Shiny Silver Plated Armor. My previous statement about how they dress should give a clue as to the item I believe is the curse trigger. I'm not 100% positive it's the item I think it is, but I figure this might be a good spot to bring it up for others to test out.

Interesting idea, but I don't know enough to make any good judgement on it. I assumed the Feygard patrols were simply introduced in the last update, and (perhaps?) with no particular trigger--other than seemingly walking along any of the major roads/paths..esp the major Duleain..Duelian? Road. I've only encountered them twice--but since I've been kinda side-stepping the main path, if that makes any difference?!

They were introduced with release 0.711. Nut wrote in the announcement "Remember Bonemeal is illegal - now there are consequences for its possession..."

I think they appear by pure chance, perhaps dependent on the area you are.

I thought when you have the option to deliver the swords from the Crossroads Guardhouse to the Fallhaven Tavern that you have allied yourself with Feyguard in a way. This allows you to trade with the soldiers along the Duleian Road, and this would be able to be used for a trigger for other quests as well, if it's not already.

It does affect your faction score in the positive on the Feygard side, but it doesn't make them an alley. I don't remember what it takes to get the Duleian road soilder to trade with you.

Will the 'faction score' ever be made explicit? As in, listed in your char's attributes?

There's no plan for that. The overall feeling is that it's better hidden. Especially since faction scores exist for more things than you are aware of. It's not just Feygard vs Nor City, or the Thieves. They are useful for controlling other aspects of the game content, and revealing those would really confuse players.

I recently ran into the guards on the road south of Crossglen, right before you head west to the prison and Stoutford.

They are around. They do not appear everywhere though. Did you get caught with bonemeal?

Nope. I have stashes at every tavern.
