Yes but when cursed by a mermaid some places we've been become inaccessible due to the inability to maintain health. Besides my idea does not allow access to barred or restricted places unless they become restricted after you've been there in which case you could be ordered by the guards to remove your beacon or face life in prison... Which would effectively end the game for you.

What you suggest can't be done with the current game engine.

Eh... worth a shot. I just figured why wands when the worst you can do with it is poke an eye out? But other magical items that aren't in the game yet could be.... blah blah blah, etc. No worries.
