From now on, you are better off leaving bonemeal stashes in various strategic spots. That way, the patrol can't get all of them.

Found possible bug in 0.7.11 in Arulir caves. The trap "ground is very slippery" will prevent going back to tiles that would lead you away from the trap and you have to jump into the water (and get washed on the shore elsewhere). But if I wanted to enter the trap second time (use it as a kind of shortcut, or when I forgot about the trap when chasing arulir that entered it), the same "ground slippery" dialog that prevented from escaping the trap now prevents from entering the trap. When I tried to kill one Arulir that was standing in the trap itself, I was unable to approach it.

Once is the limit for using this "shortcut", for the very reason given by Nut.

Yes, but on first access when you are second row from the cliff, you can still back up, not even noticing the trap. Only when you step on first row from cliff, second row becomes a blocking trap and you can only jump into water.

On second approach, even the second (previously ok) row from the cliff will become inaccessible (you get the trapping dialog).
And considering it shows the same dialog "oh god, I will drown" instead of "I am not foolish to fall there twice" it looks more like a bug
