Allow searching the forum while logged out

I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now while playing the game and it's been really helpful. I only just created an account today to post a (separate) question, and that's when I noticed the forum's search feature. Before I had an account there was no way to search the forum, so I had to use a search engine to find things.

I'd like to suggest enabling the forum's search feature for all users, whether logged in or not, assuming the software allows for that...

Even if it did, the search function has a non-negligible cost on the server, and opening it to non logged in users implies opening it to bots and spammers who can put quite a load on our servers.

yeah those bots and spiders are really persistent. -_- they've made my random searches for different kinds of information far too different what i am seeking.
example:
"where does the term _____ (insert random term) originate?" quotes included...
first link, some song with those words via youtube video,
second link, some really popular website that talks about how to bake a cake with _____ (insert one of the words randomly)"
then a few random fb pages suggesting they used this term.
and a wikipedia page on eskimos.

So i go to the eskimo page hoping to find the answer and end up obsessively restudying echatology... -_-

now imagine if they infected this forum... :O it would become spider cave.

T.T and none of us want that... plus we could be seeking a specific quest help... and boom, we have one of my absurd replies talking about fish.

Alternative: Put topics with the same topic together in a topic with a logic name and stick them to a kind of FAQ.

There are already sticky posts for that. We can only have a limited number of those though, or they just become confusing as well.
