Thank you guys, I hadn't even talked to him, I just stumbled into it and ended up putting it back without even knowing about the other guy too. Lol

In the top part of one of the maps on the southern path between Fallhaven and Vilegard there is a clearing guarded by two cave boars. In the clearing is the top of a ladder going down into a cave, where the first thing you meet is the hardshelled beetle people have been talking about. You are nearby when there are a lot of wild boars along the path. You may not recognize the ladder top for what it is. It looks a little bit like a chest sitting in the clearing.

question, does the wizard guy say anything else useful? i kinda went straight to the quest thing tho i remember some other options, like "do you know about the feud between prim n bwm", but once i got to the quest thing, i could not go back to that conversation part.

also, i did the rock dropping thing (and thanks to those who suggested it) went down the steps and met the disinterested kaz demon thingy on the bridge. did i do something wrong? or is that normal? (dun need a walk through on how to solve this quest, just wanna know if its something wrong i did. )

That is normal until you have gathered all the necessary pieces of chant and ritual for the quest. Did you do that part? And do you have the potion you need? When you have done all the preliminary parts of the quest, the dialog with the guy on the bridge changes.j
