I don't think everything that drops meat should drop an individualized type of meant, otherwise I would always have like 10 different kinds of meat at one time. I think some creatures (brutes/snakes) should have their own meat, but some creatures should simply drop 2 - 3 meats instead.

I agree, having a few varietises would be awesome but having too many would just be overly confusing to players.

I suggest:
Rat Meat
Snake Meat
Canine Meat
Meats (Regular ones, can be dropped by human NPCs)

Well we find rats all over the game and i don't remember (off the top of my head) seeing any bird like creatures in the game at all.

Rat meats would be more common than bird meats.

Fallhaven is in a centralized location... maybe they shipped them in from a village not too far away.

All i was trying to say is: There would be more places to put rat meat in the game than bird meat. That's all.

You could ask the same question about being able to buy Milk in Fallhaven, at this time there are no cows or even goats in the game. Where on Earth does the milk come from? I really hope it's not from the rats.

On topic: Having a small variety of meats could also help to adjust the difficulty in certain areas for the players. Making snake meat heal for less would in turn make the earlier parts of the game more difficult (Making it more effective would make the earlier part of the game easier).

Having something that is so easy to acquire that heals for 12 HP (Which is almost half your full HP for a new player) is a bit much IMHO.

I agree Pyro the early parts in the game were a cake walk compaired to like remgard. Maybe make rat meat heal only 3 hp sense you start with only 25 hp

Are you kidding? There is no way that rat meat should heal hp. In fact, it should remove hp.
