I always felt that the "Bless" from the ElyR should be 5% of the players AC, not just a flat 5%, so I like this general idea.

Even at 500% AC the extra AC would only be 25 %.as this game grows the all items will become more powerfull anyway so I see this idea as not a problem IMO

The main reason I posted this idea regardless of stats is there's always a lot of ideas regarding weapons and not so many regarding helmits.don't forget in this storyline I've made this helmit sort of magical so you can outwitt your enemy so having this idea of higher chances of hitting and blocking your enemy with higher damage fits in plus as a stated its only an idea anyway.

I agree with no multipler for the reason if u add a multipler to AC then your gonna have to do it to BC and other states and if u do it to other states then the whole game would have to be re-written due to overpowerijg of the game game. Lol at Lvl 5 with this helmit u can go to remgard lol

At level 5 my friend I don't think you'd even scratch one of the creatures guarding it :D

If you're at level 5, the amount of AC you have won't get increased that much. This percent of total AC idea is good because it would let the value of the helmet keep up as the player levels up. And again, if they focus on just BC or AD, it won't make much difference to AC.

you could where the helmet with the 7% AC helmet then go back with the book and have it blessed when you are at a higher level but I don't think you'd reach this place at level 5 anyway.

One of the design elements of this game, that need to be overhauled more sooner than later, is that everything is based on constants instead of (dependable) variables and multipliers, except as mentioned the critical hit multiplier, and the skills related (although those are affected by a subvariable, CHS, to prevent exponential growth). Yes, balancing will be more complicated, but if you want the game to grow in depth, such are the consequences.

+1 to affects based on your character base stats
+1 to weapon and armor mastery as multiplier over your base stats

etc.
