New weapon idea - sack of rocks

I was reading in the Balanced Steel Sword topic (http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 1&start=10) that there might be new weapons added, so I thought I'd suggest a simple thug-like weapon - a sack of rocks.

There can be a quest that involves the armor maker in Remgard offering to make a highly durable sack out of Arulir skin, and starts you on a quest to collect 10 of them. After you return with them, and pay him 100 gold to make the sack, he says it will be very durable and could hold anything, even a bunch of rocks, and jokes that you could even swing it around like a weapon. You decide to take his joke seriously and fill it with 10 rocks. When you first press on the Arulir sack, it just gives you the option to add 10 small rocks or close. Once you add the rocks, it turns into a new item - "Sack of rocks", which you can equip as a weapon.

Attack Cost: 3 AP
AC: 15%
AD: 5
BC: -15%

The stats are meant to be similar to the Quickstrike dagger but with lower AC since you'd have to swing it (and I changed the BC to match the AC), but more AD because its a blunt object.

Or put a few hundred/thousand gold coins in it for more damage, cuz gold is heavier than most rocks?

Mino,

Creative idea indeed, but have you ever swung a bag or rocks? There is no way this weapon should be 3AP :?: 5 AP minimum.

Tek, thanks, and no I have never swung a bag of rocks (or door knobs, since I got the idea from a Simpsons episode that suddenly popped into my head). If its going to be 5 AP minimum then it should have a much higher AC and AD, similar to the Gut Splitter.

AC: 25%
AD: 10-20
BC: -5%

That would make it more of a niche weapon, than a general use one (also like the Gut Splitter) but I'm fine with that.

That is right. But nobody would swing that sack of rocks then, since you already have better weapons, when you made it to Remgard. But you could give it a stunning effect - ever been hit by an sacck of rocks :D

I just think that this weapon would generate an awful lot of momentum thus preventing its user from getting many attacks.
