I've been browsing the forums and playing the game for quite a while now, and I'd be able to cofirm that most of the builds that prosper in Andor's Trail are offensive builds. As such, I'd like to have something to balance out the game a little. Make it worthwhile for those of us who like to play D. There has been some talk of defensive weapons on the forums, and I'd like to use them to create some legendary items for defensive players like me. All of the legendary and extraordinary items in the game negelct defense, and the two rings that are really useful for defensive builds are the jinxed ring of damage resistance and the ring of the guardian.
Here's my idea for a defensive weapon:
Survivor's parrying dagger:
Attack cost ap: 4
Hp: 10
Attack damage: 1
Attack chance: 5%
Block chance: 25%
Defensive Ring:
Ring of tenacity (legendary)
Hp: 15
Attack chance: 5%
Block chance: 25%
Damage Resistance: 1

1) make it AP 5 and we have a deal
2) .. hmmm .. a wee bit OP. 3 levels of +hp, 2 skill ranks of +BC, 1 level of +AC ..
atm BC builds are OP in later levels (40+) but not because of game mechanics, simply because of the AC stats most mobs have. BC 100 is pretty much enough to never get hit by mobs .. (and lets not forget that it's the prerequisite of the Bark SKin skills ...)

+ 1 sir grindsalot on comments, but I do like the idea of new legandry items based on defence though, those stats need tweaking because I can't see a dagger having a BC of 25%,a sword maybe !

It depends on how close you are to the opponent. But that's beside the point, as the dagger has only 5% AC.

That dagger is not overpowered. In fact, I think it's underpowered.
I love defensive builds and have tried for a while to find the right weapon. The ELyR in my opinion is the best defensive weapon available as it provides high AC (which lets face it, you need it) & 5% BC.
By the way, defensive builds have a great ring already...the ring of the protector.

I used that along with the Villain's Ring for my balanced build, but my defensive build had more use for the jinxed rings of damage resistance than the ring of the protector. Anytime he wanted, he could get more BC, what he needed was DR.

A high BC build shouldn't need to worry about DR. How about armour that provides some proteaction to negative actor condition like "endoring body" and "strong mind" does.

The defensive ring looks good, but for Legendary status it needs something more to make it worth the low drop rate.
My suggestions
For Legendary:
move cost -1
25% chance of blocking any inflicted character conditions
Or critical hit immunity
Or if it's Extraordinary:
Move cost -1
15% increased chance of successful flee attempt, 15% reduced chance of adjacent enemy attacking
