I took IF at lvl 5 and by the time I hit lvl 20 I had the base HP requirement for CE met without having to use any lvl ups on HP. While it would've been nice to have CE earlier than that it didn't really slow down my progression at all. I probably killed a few more snakes than normal and had to eat meat a few times to stay alive but CE and regen aren't needed to progress... just nice to have.

Idea: CE gives +1 HP and random (+10%AC, +10%BC, +1DR, or +__CC) 3 round actor condition that can stack 3 times. This would promote killing things fast in order to keep your stacks up.

Example: kill mob 1, gain +1 HP and a +10% BC 3 round cond. 2 Rounds later you kill another mob, gain another +1 HP and a +1 DR cond and your BC cond is refreshed (it would show as one actor condition but the benefits could change). You wander around aimlessly for 4 rounds and your stacks wear off so now you have to get them again.

Great idea, if you level up corps eater it gives more rounds and more hp.
I.e:
CE1: 1HP + random effect actor cond. 3 rounds
CE2: 2HP + random effect actor cond. 4 rounds

Maybe you can even add a weak regen in the random actor conditions (1 hp/3 rounds).
It would change corpse eater to a really aggressive skill.
I can already imagine myself rushing trough a low-level dungeon berserk style.

but there is a XX% chance of Necro Poison (X rounds)

Necro Poison: -10 to your max HP


Eating corpses cannot be good for a growing adventurer

aah yes, the joys of speculation;

as of now, Regen > CE. CE will only give you 1 hp per mob, Regen will give you all the HP you care to wait for, which is (i guess) how most folks actually get through BWM.

By the time regen becomes too slow, CE becomes useless as well. Every 10 or so brutes i take down, i'll take 1-2 critical hits and need to drink a BMP or two, and if you are grinding tiny creatures like wolves and frogs, you're not going to be concerned anyway so CE is pretty much useless - it just looks nice in some hp/regen/slayer builds.

Unfortunately any "alternative build" < "extra damage/AC build" so ...

I don't like this because of I cannot get rid of this skill. Which I want to do if there are any negative feedback. And IMO fres meat... hmmm :twisted:

I disagree ;) In cace of high level build CE is nice... you dont need use any healing potions :twisted:

It was mentioned before in another topic that "corpse eater" was just the name of the skill and not a description of how it works.
