I realized it was a continuation of your April Fool joke. I did say "if," and put the "really" in italics. I also would not have the foggiest idea how to hack into anything, much less a cell phone. Just thought a claim of 16 when I had just quit for the day, still with 0, was a bit much.

I have not quit trying, and more or less follow your collection guide, although I do not go to the cave entrance very often. I stay mostly in the trainer-master rooms, as the gargoyles do not drop the ring and have fewer experience points. When the respawn rate of those deeper rooms drops a lot, I go to the entrance, and leave to get a complete respawn. Once outside, I usually go on to one or more tavern and sell excess gems, buy bonemeal potions, etc. and quit for the day. I just reached level 35 and 1317 rocks and hope to get the ring before I go too much farther. But with your example, how could I stop? Level 92--WOW!!

I just wanted to point out that the row of gargoyles at the bottom of the first room with the trainers in it that you encounter, as well as (if you were leaving the cave) the first upwards row, do drop small rocks for you to collect. Hope that helped.

Yes, they drop rocks, but I thought that the use of the rock count was as an estimate of the gargoyle trainers/masters killed: rocks x 4 = monsters killed, 25% drop rate. Therefore, one can expect one ring for every 2500 rocks: = 10,000 monsters killed; 0.01% ring drop rate, or one ring/10,000 monsters. So I hope I am halfway to a RoLS. (Of course, that is all averages. It could take twice that many; or someone can get a ring before getting any rocks--if that was not a joke.)

I definitely understand. I have nearly 2 million in gold, and over 20,000 in rubies, not even mentioning other gems. It will definitely be interesting to see what Oskar makes available in say, version 0.7.0 to allow long time players to make use of an ever growing worthless currency. However, I do realize that if we were playing from the beginning of a completed game, this issue would not exist. It would be cool though to have something thrown in that we could purchase and use now that players of the completed version could work towards backtracking for as a goal or incentive to keep them additionally motivated.
