Man, I wish Pyrizzle was still around as my 49ers are playing his Seahawks right now.

And my Canucks got crushed in Florida by both the Panthers and the Lightning after a great 7 game winning streak. Boy did that come to a sudden and cataclysmic stop.

So, any hockey fans out there?

Not as much as I used to be, no longer living in a town with a team, but I still root for my Sharks and Bruins when I can. That makes it a very mixed bag this season for me. :-/

Well my 49ers are one win away from going to the Super bowl! Pretty damn exciting.

I lived in SF Bay Area for 12 years, but never became a niner fan somehow, even though I did pick up and stick with some other area teams. It was the deBartolo era, and he just annoyed me. But now, they're fine - just another team.

He probably wouldn't know how to do it if he's not allowed to simply outspend everyone else anymore

I'd describe that as turbulent.

While I'm a Canucks "fan" I'm more of a hockey fan in general. I like to watch a good game; lots of skating, passing, shots, saves, and goals. There's nothing worse than a hockey game the degrades into a clutch and grab fest. I do like the fact that the game has moved to a more pure skill style. It has made the game much more fun to watch compared to where it was in the mid '90's

Yeah, the NHL finally figured out that the international game was better to watch because they actually called penalties for constantly grabbing the other guy.

I don't miss the Left Wing Lock, either.
