The hardened iron longsword is a good early choice. You can get it in Crossglen.

I never buy a weapon in Crosglen or Fallhaven. I use the The poisonous dagger from the snake cave south of Crosglen.

Okay now you're starting to ask for too much. What I mean by this is you need to be able to experiment, take risks, try things for yourself. if it doesn't work try something else.
